Having traveled extensively across the Maldives, I can confidently say that Bageecha Stay is the best guesthouse I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it felt like home, thanks to the incredible hospitality and warm atmosphere created by the host, Ismael, and his exceptional team. Ismael went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my visit was perfect. His attention to detail, deep knowledge of the island, and genuine care for his guests made my stay unforgettable. Whether organizing activities or sharing insights about local life, his passion for hospitality truly shone through. Every meal was a masterpiece, combining fresh local ingredients with remarkable skill and creativity. From mouthwatering Maldivian delicacies to innovative international dishes, each bite was a treat. I can honestly say it was some of the best food I’ve had in the Maldives, and I looked forward to every meal during my stay. The guesthouse itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of modern amenities and local charm. Its location on Dharavandhoo is ideal for exploring the stunning beauty of Baa Atoll, from its pristine beaches to the incredible underwater world of Hanifaru Bay. The island is close to Dharavandhoo airport. Maahlos is a very charming little island with very friendly locals with a good balance of tourists to locals. The guesthouse is well located close to the beach and the island's central café, the Vaataru Café. The guesthouse is highly recommended and the owner looks after the guests in an almost family-like manner.

The host and all the staff were extremely helpful. They have provided all the information I asked for before the arrival and they have facilitated the snorkeling trips for us. When we left, they also wrote to us to make sure we have arrived ok to the new location. Lovely! The room was clean and big enough. The bathtub in the room was a big plus.

Staying on this local island was an incredible experience that we will cherish forever. Unlike the more touristy islands, Kihadhoo had a more authentic and serene vibe, and the locals were genuinely kind and welcoming. Our host was exceptional in every way. Not only was he the director of the local school, but he also managed the accommodation as a side project with utmost care and dedication. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. For meals, our host arranged dining at a newly opened local café. While the café still has room for improvement in terms of price-to-quality ratio, I’m confident it will grow into a fantastic spot over time. What truly sets this island apart is its breathtaking coral reef and vibrant marine life. Our host also organized unforgettable snorkeling and diving trips with a dive center on a neighboring island. These excursions were simply magical (especially in Hanifaru bay)! However, having a dive center directly on the island (which is planned soon) will make exploring the underwater world even more convenient. This island offers an authentic, peaceful getaway with stunning natural beauty and warm hospitality. We would love to return someday and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique Maldivian experience.

The staff here is amazing! As we arrived we felt very welcome and also during our stay the staff is always happy to have a chat. The excursions are the best part. Also dinner on the beach, candle light, no music just the sound of the ocean: truly unforgettable. The food is also very good.

John, Ahmed and Hamdan would go to the moon and back to make you happy. They are the best. The hotel is cozy and clean, they offer plenty activities at a fair price but not force you to buy anything and organize transport for the island according to your other flights. They reply to whatsapp at all times and offer very good but discrete customer service. Food is good and reasonably priced. Big rooms with space to hang and put clothes, hot water and aircon work great. Free unlimited water, coffee and tea! Definetely recommend it!

We had a wonderful days on the island thanks to Ahmed and his team. Ahmed met us at the airport, shared information about the island and showed us where everything was. The room was large, everything was clean. The breakfasts were excellent. Ahmed organised several tours for us at very nice prices. Everything was incredible. We swam with mantas, sharks, rays and even went night snorkelling with a whale shark. We recommend staying at this guest house, you will be very satisfied. We will definitely come back!
