It was a wonderful stay at Villa Abbekerk. The building is filled with unique vintage items that make your stay even more special. It is located in a beautiful small town, and there’s a tulip field within walking distance. Tim is a super friendly host . I would really recommend staying in this place.

It was an exceptional stay. First the sheer size of the place. Second, the amazing antiques and furniture, yet it still felt very cosy. There was classical music playing on TV as we walked in and that totally suited the atmosphere. There were very thoughtful touches like toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom and dressing gowns. It's right in the heart of Hoorn yet very quiet. And the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. We would have stayed longer if we could. We were here on a beer tour following Tim Skelton's Beer in the Netherlands and this was a wonderful stop!

My recent stay at De Kamer was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that Ilse and Jan had poured their hearts into creating a welcoming and enchanting haven for their guests. Isle and Jan greeted us with smiles that made us feel instantly at home. They took the time to get to know us, offering valuable insights into the local area and suggesting hidden gems to explore. The tranquil ambiance of De Kamer combined with the heartfelt hospitality of Ilse and Jan, created an unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations. Great quiet place in nice village, huge balcony, wonderful view on pond and fields, very nice host. Everything is supercosy and clean, kitchen is very well equipped. Feel like home. Thanks a lot for the opportunity to stay at your house!

The place was tidy and clean and the mattress was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the garden while having our breakfast. Our hosts were very nice and welcoming. We recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a place to stay in Medemblik.
