I really enjoyed the calm and peaceful environment at Hotel Monalisa. The natural views from the balcony and windows were stunning and made the stay even more relaxing. I was in this hotel for the second time. When you come to Nepal for trekking, normally you fly to Kathmandu. Here you can buy clothes and gear for the trek. This hotel is in central location in Thamel, where are the shops and restaurants as well. Only good things to say about the hotel; rooms, WiFi, breakfast and staff are excellent. There is even a scale in the reception to weigh your bags and yourself, too !

I love this hotel because it is so convenient and the staff is very friendly. The hotel's manager warmly welcomed us. They always take care of us, even at breakfast time. The room service is good, and the laundry service is the best, fast and clean.

We had a great stay at Everest Boutique hotel for 2 nights. The room was very spacious and clean. A big plus was the fact that they have a fitness center on the roof top, equiped to our needs. And the roof terrace had a beatiful 360 view of Kathmandu. The hotel lies very close to the heart of Thamel, but luckily in a quiet part, so noise was never a problem. Just around the corner is the KSCC (climbing center) which is a great spot to hang out as well. The hotel staff was very helpful, and assisted us with a private car for visiting Bhaktapur at a reasonable price. And they were very service oriented, showing up with a bright smile every time of the day we met them. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

I stayed there for 7 nights. And that was one of my most happy stay in Thamel. They have proper 24/7 hot water shower with good pressure and good temperature. I like piping hot shower and this is one of the very few hotel that can provide you with that. The hotel room is clean. They have clean linen and towels. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also the room is spacious and I really like to spend my time there.
