Portofino Homestay is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, Mareeya welcomed us with such kindness and care, making us feel at home right away. The room was fantastic it had everything you needed and was super clean. The location was amazing. Waking up every morning and looking out across the bay was incredible. Chu and Larry were awesome and went above and beyond to help us whenever we needed assistance or to organise something. Just perfect family-run place where you can do snorkelling directly from the shore. Amazing number of coral fish right there. The family cooked excellent dinners and helped us organize trips to Limasawa Island and other snorkelling hot spots in the area. People in towns are friendly and atmosphere always very relaxed so we had just the holiday we were looking for.

Literally the only resort in Sogod Bay that is not right next to the road. Quiet, right on the beach, comfortable, clean. Easy going owners and very helpful. There is no electricity but option to charge things is easy. I loved it. Absolute best value on So. Leyte.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Burgos Reef. It is beautifully built, it is clean, the staff is attentive and always has a smile, the food is delicious, the rooms are stylish and cozy with an amazing view (if you book the sea view). And I didn't even mention the house reef right outside yet were you can find Nemo and friends without taking a boat and booking a snorkeling trip.
