We had an amazing time at Ihema Lodges! This place far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until check-out we felt truly looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice details throughout. Enjoying dinner with a beautiful backdrop of the lake was a highlight in itself. The staff was very helpful and flexible and made preparing for our safari in Akagera National Park a breeze. We already miss the tranquility and calm of Ihema and will be sure to return soon. Big thank you to the staff for creating such a memorable stay!

All the staff we wonderful helpful, seeking to help and make our stay a good stay, we were asked about the food in the restaurant, as to any likes or dislikes and as to the quality. Happy staff usually means good management, therefore great service. Very Good Buffer Breakfast, Evening meal was wonderful so much to choice and you can keep on going back lovely.

Our stay at Akagera Transit Lodge was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived in Kigali, the service was outstanding. The lodge arranged seamless transportation for my family and me from Kigali to Akagera, ensuring a stress-free start to our adventure. During our Safari trip in Akagera National Park, the lodge’s commitment to excellent service continued. They made sure we had everything we needed for a memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the lodge. It provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation after our safari excursions. The lodge also organized our transport from Rwanda to my home village in Tanzania, which was handled flawlessly. The property was so perfectly located with clear signposts and on the roadside that it was very easy to locate. The staff was amazing especially the receptionist and the rooms were so clean and had all I needed. Not so far from the park at only 28kms and that’s a perfect place for budget travelers.

Akagera Rhino Lodge is a great place to stay near Akagera Park—only 15 minutes away by car. The room was very cosy, with an amazing view of the lake! The restaurant is nice, the food is good, and you can also order a picnic to take with you on safari in the park. The staff is really friendly and attentive. There's hot water in the shower, and the Wi-Fi is decent. I 100% recommend this place for its excellent value for money.
