The Houses of History is located on the shore of Belső-tó in Tihany, on a half hectare area, a 5-minutes walking distance from the city centre. The 200-years-old historic listed building gives the ambience of the 19th century. Some of the rooms have views of the Belső-tó. We loved the rooms, the breakfast (plentiful and great variety), having a dip in the swimming pool, and our 11-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoyed seeing bunnies and cats on the premises. In the early afternoon, you could help yourself to a refreshing herbal drink at Reception. The place has a lot of charm to it, I highly recommend it.

Staff was welcoming and helpful (especially receptionist István) who gave us an electric kettle that we could use in our room. Very much appreciated! We liked also nice natural area around hotel, fresh air, lots of trees.
