Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. This property offers sea-view rooms with access to a fully equipped shared kitchen. WiFi and on-site parking are free. We did not have time to use the spa. Breakfast choice was very good. The view out on to the harbour was really fantastic, smell of salty water and seaweed, just like home. Beautiful dining area. I met the owner of the property, who was really nice to speak with. The staff were great too. The northern lights were just so beautiful.

A buffet, vegetarian or gluten-free breakfast is available at the property. At the accommodation you will find a restaurant serving local cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested. Not too far off the N1 but felt like you were were in the wilderness. Stunning views and so quiet. Room lovely and clean although warm as a hot day in Iceland. Food great and service excellent. Well recommend to people.

Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses in Egilsstadir provides adults-only accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The chalet offers lake views and a picnic area. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Undiraldan - Steinholt, old music school is situated in Seyðisfjörður. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 3.8 km from Gufufoss. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Gem in East - small town with harbor and history, hiking tracks, restaurants plus excellent place to stay. Spacious and well equipped place, where our family would have wanted to stay for longer. Furniture and interior design was so nice, cosy and all details seemed to be considered to be suitable for this area.
