The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, and comfortable with lovely garden views. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. We especially loved the relaxing outdoor spaces and the calm atmosphere all around. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Arugam Bay!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tropicana Hotel for 6 nights, and this is the best decision we have made in our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. I've never felt so welcome as we did at this hotel, it felt like Jazz and his family opened their home for us. The accommodation is top quality (10/10), however the best part was the warm and good people at the hotel. We even got invited to a home made Sri Lankan dinner, very wholesome and soo good curry! The accommodation is close to city center but the rooms are quiet and withdrawn. Its located right next to the beach and also a super market, which is run by the family. Jazz also organized surf lessons, a safari tour, and affordable transport to the next part of our journey. Absolutely worth a visit :) Thank you Jazz and family!

Beautifully decorated hotel, with one of the most gorgeous bathrooms I have ever seen. Comfortable bed. Very nice staff and boat safari. Good breakfast and dinner. Peaceful and secluded, with all the amenities necessary. Nice pool overlooking the lake + smaller pool.

The staff are friendly and quiet, always tending to the gardens. My room had a lovely 4 poster bed, and a nice patio area for relaxing. I loved my stay here.

Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.
