We had a large family room which was immaculate with great facilities. Each night, Roshan's wife cooks an incredible buffet for the guests, all freshly prepared with a huge choice. The food was amazing and Roshan and his family made our stay memorable.

Backwaters was a lovely spot on the doorstep to the western gate of Wilpattu. They organised a game drive for us (where we saw lots), a river trip and boat ride to our next destination. The rooms and grounds are full of nice, environmentally friendly touches, and the meals are great. Since the centre of the park is a little ways from this gate, a full day game drive turned out to be better than a half day - and allowed usto see lots of elephants at the end of the day.
