But the real highlight was the breakfast—freshly made, varied, and served like royalty in a peaceful rooftop. The staff was attentive and kind, always ready to help. It was a short walk from the city’s main attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring Meknes. Would absolutely return!

Featuring a shared lounge and views of inner courtyard, Dar Pa Labzioui is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Meknès, 27 km from Volubilis. Guests staying at this bed and breakfast have access to a patio. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. We were downtown, searching on our phones for the route to the riad, when a lady kindly asks us if she could help. By chance it was the lady of the riad who coincidentally walked there. She walked with us and gave us the most warm welcome you can imagine, including a historical tour through the riad and tea on the terrace. The riad is so lovely decorated. The bed and bathroom are great. The riad is very close to all the sights in Meknes. Because of an early flight we had to leave really early. The riad arranged a taxi perfectly on time with a breakfast to go. What a lovely stay!

The main room is stunning. The complimentary breakfast served there every morning by Zachariah and Mohammad is first class. The riad is well located in the Medina in Meknes. But the best part about this property is the staff. They are kind and friendly and will do anything to assist with your visit. The riad will do laundry, call you a taxi, find you a guide or money exchange, get you an extra pillow, or just about anything else you need.

We had a wonderful time at Riad Yamcha. The riad is beautifully furnished. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful roof terrace. The location is perfect for exploring Meknes. Unfortunately, most of the sights were being renovated at the time of our stay (May 2024). If we had known this, we would probably have skipped Meknes. The riad was still a highlight. We also had dinner in the riad at a large table with the other guests - we can highly recommend the food here. If we travel to Meknes again, we will gladly book here again.

Fès Airport is an hour’s drive away and low-cost parking is available nearby. The most beautiful of the four riads we stayed in in Morocco. The shared spaces are almost like a gallery of applied arts. Large, comfortable bed. Three rooftop terraces! Extremely kind and understanding staff.
