The stunning sand dunes, breathtaking sunsets, and peaceful atmosphere made this trip magical. Whether it was enjoying traditional food (they had also a lot of vegetarian option), sitting by the campfire under the stars, or experiencing exciting desert activities, every moment was very beautiful.

The bungalows are very comfortable, beautifully designed, and modern. The mattress and sofa were incredibly cozy, making our stay even more enjoyable. The bathroom was fully functional, with a comfortable water temperature, allowing us to take a refreshing shower after a day in the desert. The food was absolutely delicious! Chef Mohammed puts his heart into every dish, and you can truly taste the passion in his cooking. Everything was incredibly tasty! A special thanks to the host, Abdullah. He is very friendly, always available, and ready to assist with anything you need. He even organized a small desert safari for us, which was an unforgettable experience!

A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Milky Way Domes features barbecue facilities. The property was built in 2023 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a ski equipment rental service is also available. Amazing location composed of cottages and domes on the highest dunes. Perfect to see both sunrise and sunset and to enjoy the desert experience. We tried both the cottage and the dome and we liked the dome much more. Nice restaurant with good selection of food both for dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff. Chance to make different types of activities - dune bashing at sunset much recommended!

Featuring views of the inner courtyard, all units in the property come with private entrance and a heated pool. A balcony with an outdoor dining area and mountain views is offered in each unit. At the campground, all units include bed linen and towels. The staff is amazing. This camp is very little, only 8 persons and apparently mainly Europeans. We eat together for breakfast, lunch and dinner around a table. It’s very nice. There is plenty of activities and a campfire in the evening. The food was delicious and in abundance. I thought it was only breakfast and dinner, but as we stayed two nights we had 1 lunch included. Facilities are great (hot water, charging our phones, very comfortable bed, extra blanket at night). There are many activities organised for a fee - we liked the camel ride. We paid the extra 35OMR for the ride to the camp as we didn’t have 4x4 (definitely needed!). It felt a bit expensive at first, but the camp is very far and it takes time to reach it for the driver. This is actually nice because we had no noise from any cars or light pollution at night. The staff is very very nice, always there to ask if we want anything (eg tea, coffee, dates) and the owner is lovely as well. They shared stories about the desert with us, it was nice to hear!

The staff is really friendly and everything is very quite and calm. We stayed two nights and I really enjoyed sleeping in the nice tent and looking and the star at night. The food was very good and they made different stuff for us who stayed more nights and helped us with vegetarian options. For those who said there are mice.. It is nature! We are in their home and you should appreciate them. There are desert mice, a very clean and intelligent animal. I appreciate the staff protects them. So please continue to respect wildlife! It seems to me that the camels are also well treated. We went to visit a beduin house, it was a beautiful experience and they welcomed us in their home with delicious sweet food.
