Fabulous location in the hills with views overlooking Kandy and infinity pool. Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful decor throughout the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Photos hardly do this place justice, unlike other places in Sri Lanka i feel it exceeds what you think it would be.Cloud resort was 100% our favorite accommodation and location on our 2 week visit to Sri Lanka. It is the most beautiful location with breathtaking views, our room had a panoramic view of the valley, which we could see from our bed. Sunset and sundown, such a spoil. Our private butler brought meals to our room, we were treated like royalty. We only stayed 2 nights, we were on a tight schedule, but it is the kind of place you should stay a minimum of 5 nights. The mountain walks to whatch the sunset, the pinawala is super close , the old tea factory is amazing, and just finding peace for your soul. The rooms are incredible, every small detail was crafted and curated by the owners ( family), and is such a treat to discover all the attention to detail and thoughtful comforts. Our bed was a highlight, it was a swing suspended from the ceiling, we have never slept so well being gently rocked to dream land. Inthi was an an incredible host, gave us lots of privacy, but always there if we needed anything. He was super helpful with directions, excursions, and just general info and the history of Sri Lanka. I loved meeting him. Butttt all this said...... the food!!!!!! Oh my word is was blown away, up to this point of our travels the food never blew me away....... but I would definitely recommend having all your meals there. It was beautiful, fragrant, and delicious!!!!!!!!! One of our top stays we have ever been to by far. I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions and transportation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and their attention to detail truly made my stay special. The food was another highlight – delicious, homemade, and served with a smile. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, every meal was a delight.

This place is absolutely stunning. With comfortable furniture en incredible views all around the building. The owners and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They did everything they could for us, from washing our clothes when we came back from trekking to making one of our favorite breakfast: milk rice. You get a big and luxurious room. Although the place is up in the hills, it's just a quick 10 minute tuktuk drive or a nice 25 minute walk down to town. We totally loved it here!

Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior experience was outstanding. Final Thoughts This hotel offers a surprisingly tranquil experience that you wouldn’t anticipate from the outside. The combination of the beautiful location, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional service made for a memorable stay. We will definitely be returning to Kandy River Lodge on our next visit to the area and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Kandy.

Wow, I really recommend this place. The owner was super super helpful and really nice. I never had an experience like this before. It was our first night in Sri Lanka and he helped us with transportation (we came by public bus). He told us where to go etc. The room was really nice. He borrowed us an adapter extra blanket and also a mosquito net. We were with him to elephants, bets and waterfall. All the time he asked us if we needed something. Even after accommodation he told us that he will help us if we need it. We also got pick up from the bus station.

Nice rooms, two double beds, good AC, big and clean bathroom, hot water, good shower. Water always available. The staff is really kind and helpful, helped us with everything we needed. Always in good mood and smiling, made us feel very comfortable. Breakfast with a nice view of the trees.

Gorgeous property, so clean , the most comfortable beds. Stunning location at the top of a mountain. Owner could not have been more attentive and was on hand with any query we had. Gave us a lift to town, nothing was too much trouble.
