Cabins in Mahébourg

I selected Ferney as it was the closest hotel available to the airport and the nature reserve looked beautiful. I was unfortunately only able to stay for one night and arrived very late so was not able to do any of the walks or activities although the looked very nice. Ferney was helpful in arranging a driver to collect me from the reception in a 4x4 to take me to the lodge at 9:30pm as my flight came in late. They served me the full dinner and spared no details which was well received. Dinner was smoked marlin starter, amazing venison steak with mashed potatoes, veg and salad with brownie and coconut ice-cream. The bed was very comfortable, air conditioning appreciated, and there was absolute silence because of the remote nature of the property. Breakfast had a lovely spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese, jams and toast. You get an individual basket of two freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate. Eggs of your choice were made to order. In my tiny time there, without venturing at all, I saw manycbirds, a rabbit and a mongoose. All staff were very pleasant, friendly, and went the extra mile. It is not the typical Mauritian beach holiday but a nevertheless wonderful, nature-filled experience.

We spent one wonderful night here and were blown away by the incredible love and hospitality shown by the owner and his son, Simon. Despite our late arrival, they went above and beyond. They not only gave us a complete tour of their beautiful property but also made sure we caught the sunset from the top of the hill. The highlight was the impromptu dinner: the owner picked two fresh eggplants directly from their garden and prepared herbs for our meal. This place is fantastic for nature lovers and those who appreciate true sustainability and kindness. A truly memorable and welcoming stay!

This is a soul place in the middle of nature. Peace, silence and such a beautiful energy. Sebastian is putting his heart in this place. I felt very welcomed and home here. I'm truly grateful I had the chance to enjoy this place and I will come back.

We were at the Banyan tree bubble which really secluded in the heart of a huge banyan tree - it was magical experience, especially in the morning being awaken by the songs of hundreds if not thousands of birds (although at 5 AM :) ). Food was great, bubles have all the comforts you need. You had constantly a buttler at a disposal to mov you around the island. At night there are only the people in the 4 bubbles plus the security so it is pretty much an exclusive island for 8 people.

Perfection !! Sleeping under the stars in your bubble, waking up to breathtaking nature—truly, can it get any better? An unforgettable experience that I highly recommend! Spend just one night here, and I promise you won’t regret it!

Beautiful location overlooking the sea. Clean , comfortable lodges . Very scenic

Excellent villa with private pool, beach access and located in not so crowded area. Great service and attention from the staff. One day wi-fi was not working due to some technical failure and Davina personally spent time to make sure that technician fixed the issues. We went for fishing and caught some fish. Sapna did the cooking and curry was outstanding. Overall very clean, nice and well equipped property. Pool was a really nice bonus. Recommended for a romantic holiday.
