The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I walk with a walking aid. Chylin carried in my luggage (quite a lot, as I don't travel light). She came to check on me daily to see if I was okay and needed anything. I contacted Maria (who was on leave) to arrange for an extension of my stay, and she arranged it within minutes. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Area is quiet and safe.

This lodge, only a few mins away from Jo'burg is a very peaceful place. You would not expect to find such a place within a city, but here it is. I enjoyed everything about it. A little piece of nature and of the bush in the city. The owner David is lovely, welcoming, always willing to help. very nice service and team working there. I totally recommend this place. And feel free to ask them about the tours they can offer !

Wonderful garden to braai and relax, giant comfortable beds, cleanness, but mainly: the family who runs the lodge. They were the most amazing, caring and kind people, and I had the best time being treated to Hungarian food and drinks :) There is nowhere else I would stay if I go to Joburg again. As much as I do not like the city, I had an incredible stay at Anka lodge!
