We had an exceptional stay at Halali. Our room and en suite were much bigger than we anticipated. Beautiful, clean, luxurious. It had excellent air con that kept us cool even on extremely hot days and nights. The pics we saw beforehand didn't do it justice, it exceeded our expectations. The breakfasts were superb as were our suppers. The chef was very welcoming and friendly and went out of his way to accommodate tricky allergies. All of the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Peter, the manager, is quite likely the best host we've ever had. He even came out late one night to check on our lights, and warn us of a potential storm. We had a great game drive. Saw so much, and for the very first time saw Golden Wildebeest, which are very rare.

Excellent location, great facilities. Ideal for family get together or group of friends. Children enjoyed the swimming pool, even in winter, and everybody loved the animal traffic around the lodge. Whole family loved the place, had great time together in lapa, around firepit and on veranda. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again!

From picking up from the airport, arranging game drives, bush walks, hiking day out, coddling baby lions at Misty Monkeys, shopping at local shops, trying cinnamon pancakes with sweet coffee with condense milk! to bespoke food at the lodge's restaurant and glass of tasteful red wine by the fire under starry night sky was more then we could wish for our trip! Our tent was spacious, comfortable, with private toilet, shower and bathtub! There was kettle, tea and coffee as well as water and fresh milk every day. We had a table and chairs on our little terrace where we could enjoy our morning coffee. The heated blanket saved us from cooler nights what made our stay even more comfy. The facility has great potential being just 40min from Pretoria. Restaurant with amazing food, bar and fire pit for cooler evenings and cosy chats with glass of good South African wine! We saw different animals and birds every day around the Lodge and in the night could hear hyenas and lions roar.

Very nice location. We stayed there just one night (the day before departing from Johannesburg airport). Everybody was very friendly. Good dinner and breakfast!
