The garden was a peaceful oasis, full of life with birds enjoying fruits – such a calm and relaxing scenery. And the view of Lion Rock? Simply beautiful with the rice fields around. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay – everything was perfect, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

Beautiful clean cool rooms in the jungle, hardly a need for the fan even because the trees and plants keep the rooms so cool. Lovely friendly and helpful family, delicious breakfasts and dinners if you choose to eat there. I highly recommend the home cooked rice and curry, it’s so tasty and the mum will cook it as spicy as you like (I like it spicy and it was so yummy compared to the bland ‘tourist curry’ they serve in a lot of the restaurants in Sri Lanka’) The son even showed me around the area, it really felt like home. Highly recommend!

It is a small yet lovely hotel and also just 5 mins tuk tuk ride from the Sigiriya Rocks. Also very easily accessible to city center and restaurants. The owner is a fine gentleman and really friendly. We forgot our two bags and realised after we got call from hotel and we were around 20 kms away. The owner sent the bags via tuk tuk and did not accept cash for this extra effort done by them. We were really grateful to them.

Honestly, the absolute highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! Out of all 7 weeks in Sri Lanka our 3 nights here were the best, and it was 90% due to this Homestay!!! We felt amazingly at home! Chamika was WONDERFUL. He hiked up to pidurangula with us and brought us surprise coffee in a coconut, and didn’t ask for anything in return! We did a cooking class and ate some of the best food ever, and chamika went to swim in a lake with us! The room was as exactly as described with comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing everyday and just laying on the rock with a view of the lake was stunning! Overall if I could rate this place 1000 stars I would! Thank you guys so much!

At night time all you can hear is the sound of the jungle- quite magical. Waking up to the hundreds of birds all around is also very special. Our trips (a boat ride and safari) and all our transport was perfectly organised by Dhammika who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and share his knowledge of the area with us. The food was excellent - Nihal and Ajith made us delicious meals (one breakfast was even served down by the stream which was a lovely surprise). Madurangu and Raju also looked after us so well. We’re so glad we stayed 2 nights. I would happily have stayed much longer!
