Insika Lodge was fabulous! As the first staff there told us: “welcome to your new home”, we felt like home during 5 nights. We came for a wedding and we absolutely lived everything of the stay. The room was amazing, I slept so well.
All the staff were always nice and arranging towards us!
Victoria Falls
With Victoria Falls reachable in 3.4 km, The Courtney Lodge provides accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. Complimentary WiFi is provided throughout the property. The building and grounds are peaceful and beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable and the housekeeping is impeccable. Clive and Leslie run a very good boutique hotel, however, this would mean nothing if it were not for the fantastic staff. I have stayed in some very high end hotels, but the staff at Courtney Lodge treat you in a way that makes you feel truly special. Their smiles and actions are sincere, they truly want your stay to be the best ever. Taku, the manager, was incredibly helpful making transportation arrangements and providing information about activities and restaurants. The housekeepers, Rudo, Nissi and Blessed, were tirelessly working to keep the room ready for you at the end of the day and constantly cleaning around the property. But the one thing that truly impressed us was their cook Danny, who prepared great breakfasts and incredible dinners. He and Clement and Kudzi, made meals and our stay in general, very special. They do everything with genuine smiles and warmth, even the grounds keeper, Balance, always had a smile and a kind greeting. If you come to Victoria Falls, you have to experience The Courtney Lodge!
Victoria Falls
Situated in Victoria Falls, 4 km from Victoria Falls and 2 km from The Big Tree at Victoria Falls, Drift Inn features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. Based on positive reviews received by Drift Inn, I booked myself in for a three day stay. Everything I had read was true, from the thatched roof and well-tended gardens to the superior customer service, my experience was delightful. From the time I arrived, I was given personalized attention in a warm, welcoming manner. My reception, provided by Maxwell, was smooth. He introduced me to the facility in great detail. His demeanor is friendly, and he has a big, heartfelt smile. My room, #7 Congo, was a standard double room great for solo travelers. Crisp sheets covered the comfortable bed, and in the bath a rainfall shower in a rustic setting along with standard amenities and crisp white towels. The bed is surrounded with netting, but I did not need it. However, do not be deceived, there are mosquitos. I must have been in the low bite season. Amelia, who works with Maxwell for reception and requests, assisted me during the day with reservations and taxi requests. She is very friendly and greets you with a lilting voice of happiness. All of the staff assisted with making me feel welcome. Speaking of taxis, this facility is not in town, and regardless of what Google Maps may instruct you, it is not walkable. You are very near to game reserves, and there are animals such as baboons, elephants, mongoose amongst many wandering around…especially after dark. The staff will warn you. Just use a taxi! A few tips: 1. There are no eating facilities here. However, a made-to-order English breakfast is served along with cereals and juices in the morning. For any other meal, your hosts are happy to order food for delivery. 2. There is no television or phone in the room. This is not an issue with me as I don’t travel to exotic areas to watch television and with the great internet, I was able to listen to podcasts and make calls. 3. The room had a variety of plugs. I found one for American, British as well as type N for South Africa. 4.

Nice grounds restuarant and bar on site was nice. Great view of the water hole to see the elephants. Shuttle bus into town was good.
It’s small and quiet which was lovely for relaxing. All the staff were exceptional and no request was too much for them. My flight out was delayed by 4 hours so they let me stay in my room for the rest of the day which was awesome. They also provide a free shuttle into the falls a few times a day and a turn down service in the evenings to draw the mosquito nets which was a nice touch. The lodge is close to the Boma dinner and drum show which I also recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at Dzimbahwe. The staff is amazing and very accommodating, helping us with requests like getting USD change, arranging a shuttle to the airport, and laundry services. The breakfast was very nice, and the hotel room was reasonably nice and spacious.
Shuttle service, friendly staff
Loved the staff, the service, the options for food and beverage. The complimentary shuttle into town and back.
The location was perfect distance from the falls and from the main street where you can book all your tours etc. They booked and organized the airport shuttle for us. (Payment is separate) Great restaurants nearby. The staff were so friendly. Just what you need for a short stay.
Good value for money. The lodge is relatively well maintained, even though the mosquito nets have many holes. The kitchen is equipped with cooking instruments, allowing you to prepare meals. The grounds surrounding the lodge are very green and quiet, with many wild animals around (warthogs, monkeys, antilopes). The complimentary shuttle to Vic Falls is very convenient. The breakfast at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is good and varied, but quite expensive (25 USD per person). The Buffalo Bar has good food and the landscape view is beautiful.
Located in woodland, the lodges were delightful and comfortable. We were a family of 7 and were able to take two lodges with a connecting door, which worked well for us. Pool was lovely. Staff really pleasant and helpful. The lodges are located about 2 miles from town, but there is a free shuttle. Just keep an eye out for the monkeys, little thieves!
Location was fine, staff were fine. Check in process was fine. Shuttle to the falls was great. Grounds are lovely.
Very central & shuttle.
