Umm Al Quwain is a very quite and peaceful emirate. Its a perfect place to take a break from the busy life of the city. We visited mall of UAQ. The lulu hypermarket there will cater to all our needs. Nice and peaceful city, has everything as per necessities. Loved the sea, they have Starbucks, Hardees, KFC, McDonald's etc, what else could you wish for. Definitely, a great place to visit and Flamingo Beach & Resort is highly recommended. Very nice and quiet area to visit. Clean area, not a lot of people or noises. Area is growing with major building projects going on. The location is ideal for a peaceful, relaxing get away from daily madness of a busy city life. The rooms overlooked the sea and the views at sun down and sunrise were beautiful. The rooms were large and well maintained especially the bathrooms. The evening barbeque was quite delicious with the kebabs being the best feature. staff are very friendly, and eager to please. The pathway to the beach could do with a bit more repair work- it is in many places worn down. Steps and outdoor decor needs an uplift. Professional and friendly staff. Rooms are more than adequately sized and are absolutely spotless - the staff are doing a top job! Breakfast was great with a great selection of foods to satisfy all tastes. Really nice swimming pool as well as a surprisingly nice beach for sun bathing and swimming - considering it is on the lagoon. We faced the storm and the heavy rain. They tried their best to control the situation. The Gentleman who was in the head of reception that night, helped us professionally.
