We stayed at a guesthouse in the mountains about a 10 minute drive from the main village. We did really enjoy being outside of the village as it was a bit crowded and littered. We did have a rental car and felt it was nice to have but there were taxis and group vans all over the main parking lot in Theth to take travelers to different popular hiking spots like The Blue Eye. If you do rent a car, a smaller car is better as the mountain roads are not very wide. Overall, the views are absolutely amazing and it feels like a fairytale little town.Guest review byBuchholz - 10.0

Theth is scenic and beautiful, and the hiking in the area is wonderful. But as a village that is new to the tourism industry, it needs to decide what it wants to be - a destination for the outdoor-loving hiker, or one for loud thumping-music-loving weekenders. Theth is breathtaking!
Theth is breathtaking! At times I compared it to Switzerland. Other times to Nepal. The mountains are dramatic and the village, although bursting and bustling with tourists and hotels and restaurants - still maintains an authentic feel. The road to Theth is quite an experience with many switchbacks up and down and with traffic coming at you- you need a stomach of iron, but it’s so worth it to arrive on this gem of a valley. The road in the village is not paved so drive slowly. We had a fantastic dinner at villa Gjecaj restaurant- beautiful setting, peaceful and amazing food. Lots of hiking options. Theth is a little town surrounded by beautiful mountains. It has a few good restaurants, several good hiking options, things of historic and cultural interest and good swimming spots. Theth is a small village, and during our visit, many buildings had been demolished, which took away some of its charm. It felt less picturesque than expected. The hike between Theth and Valbona is beautiful but requires quite a bit of logistics. Great hike to the Blue Pool; good cafes on the way and a lovely cold beer riverside in Theth village on our return. Best with your own car, but we took transfers into the village from our hotel and we had a private taxi take us up and down the mountain.Guest review byHelenAustralia
