Hotel is large and during our stay busy. Coach delivery of guests during evening and morning collection resulted in a lot of people traffic. Breakfast was good choice, evening meals were fine. Parking outside was busy Motorcycles and car parking at times and walkers enjoyed the hotel. The Hotel is located on a hill and for some walking may prove hard outside hotel grounds.

We booked one night at Ferienhaus Herrenschmiede for a quick stop during a road trip around Austria. Even though we arrived too late, Kim gave us all the facilities to enter the house without any problems. Ferienhaus Herrenschmiede is a very tastefully decorated house, with a great attention to detail in every corner. We were surprised by the number of amenities provided, with a wide range of possibilities for outdoor activities nearby, both in summer and winter. On top of that, after we found out we forgot a beanie at the house upon our departure, Kim very kindly offered to send it back to my address. All in all, highly recommendable accommodation in every aspects and we will surely make sure to come back if we get the chance.

It was just perfect. We did not want to cook but the kitchen was so inspiring that we were soon in the spar nearby to get some materials and then we had a delicious self made dinner. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious.

The apartment was very cozy and spacious. The object is a beautiful old building, but marvelously renovated. From the coffee house in the ground floor it smells like fine coffee and cakes. The restaurant looks intimate and authentic, although we haven't tried it. The location is central, the view to the old city center, very picturesque but quiet and calm. Good location to reach the Ankogel ski resport easily.

A fantastic, well equipped and very comfortable apartment. It was also very spacious and there was a washing machine in the large bathroom. The kitchen had a bean to cup coffee machine which was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and communication with the owner was very good.

Nice cosy family hotel with nice room, sauna. But the touch are owners which are really nice and you feel cosy and welcomed. They can give you also good advice where to go, what are best options based on wheather. And at the end the dog at reception is really cute and funny.

    I enjoyed very much the location, the mountains, the rest, and the atmosphere was excellent. To taste the Austrian nature and culture was very beneficent. The communication with the hosts was excellent and the servant maid was also friendly and helpful. They gave me detailed and helpful information about the apartment and the surroundings. And it was a good price/quality ratio. My son and myself had an unforgettable time in Obervellach, Carinthia.

    We were there for the 4th time and as usual everything was perfect. We were there during Easter and the host was so kind to surprise us with chocolate bunnies and eggs for kids and bottle of wine from their winery. As the apartment is located on the top of the hill, you have excellent view down to the valley. If you are in obervellach with kids, don't forget to stop in Motorik park and pools.

    This hotel was right in the centre of Obervellach, the room was lovely although compact (perfectly good for one night), very quiet, nicely looking courtyard and a really good breakfast. It was also nice to sit in front of the hotel and have a drink. The staff were very friendly. Very convenient with bikes and right by the Alpe- Adria cycle route
