We visited in December, over New Years.
We visited in December, over New Years. Seeboden is well located to reach lots of hiking trials after only a few mins car drive (or bus). The ski area Goldeck is also only 15-20mins away by car. Shops, hotels and restaurants are all in walking distance. The view from the lake shore is beautiful and calming. We ate most of the time in our hotel, Moserhof, because we liked their food a lot. Once we ventured out to Postwirt and again we liked it so much that we went back another time. Great food for decent money. And the service really surprised us in both places. Only there for 24 hours but would love to return. A beautiful town. Nice walks near the lake on trails. We rented bikes from Bikeshop Seeboden. The owner was very helpful with information about the trails. We biked on the quiet side of the lake which was perfect. Small but so busy little town (village) with lots tourist. Close to shopping centre (5km) and all shops are walking distans. Lovely lake with clear wather and montain around give you great view, relaxing time,and lots of fun. I like this village, it's located in a beautiful place. But when you come there on Christmas, you might as well just go to another place like Salzbrg, because over Christmas everything is closed and you don't even see people there. Very easy :-) The location of the apartment is beautiful with an amazing view over the lake. The flat was very clean and well furnished, contained asll we need. additionally it had a really nice outdoor area with furniture, comfy chairs, a BBQ,... We had room 6 with two balconies, a sitting room, and a very private ensuite( no glass walls!) Breakfast was beautifully laid out and eggs and bacon were cooked to order. This is a 129 yr old building but it has been sensitively modernized with everything you could need wrapped up in a very tasteful decor. It is located about 15min walk (5 min by car), from the city center of Seeboden, but keep in mind it is located uphill 😄 We especially loved the big terasse, which was perfect for our little boy and dog.
