Serfaus is a pretty and charming alpine village, in the Serfause-Fiss-Ladis resort. If you stay in the resort then you can get a very discounted 'summer card' lift pass, and access to about 12 cable-cars.There is a mid-level 'komperdell' (former summer grazing) with childrens play parks and alpine-hut restaurants. They serve tasty traditional dishes in addition to the norm. From here you can get cable cars to the high level mountainside above the tree line. Well marked paths link all the 'alpine huts' and cable car stations. There is a programme of events, many of which are for children, and they have a childrens club. Tidy picturesque village with gratis (!) subway (!) that brings you from your hotel (or from obligatory parking if you aren't staying overnight in the village) to the valley station of the cable car. You absolutely must take one of these cable cars to get into hiking/skiing areas above the village. Serfaus is family-friendly but can also accommodate experienced skiers. Pistes are meticulously groomed every night for a perfectly smooth skiing experience. I think Serfaus is one of vthe best destinations in Tyrol. It has great faciulities, its great for familioes with kids of any age. Lots of plygraunds with unusual feacures at almost every cable car station. Breakfast was the best & good dinner in the adjacent Stübl but times were either 6.30 or 8pm, as seemingly all Serfaus restaurants. Extremely good location for ski lifts, Ubahn & bus stop from Landeck (regular service to train). Ski lockers at Bacher Sport, free to Hotel guests, large & v convenient. Excellent Ski Hire there too.
