Great place to stay. Fantastic facilities. For the price it felt like there was a lot of generosity, e.g. the amount of towels that were available, amounts and types of hot drinks available. The coffee machine is great and the kitchen facilities in general are excellent. The bed is very comfortable. It felt like a luxurious stay. The place is very secure and it's a very peaceful area. We met the owners briefly, they were friendly and welcoming.

Margaret and Alf are amazing and so welcoming and friendly. They were accommodating and generous with their time and place. Excellent recommendations with regards to things to do in the area and places to eat. Highly recommend staying and we will be back.

A lovely quiet hostel with a nice chilled vibe. The outdoor space was lovely and offered lots of different seating options for people to relax. Very clean hostel. Communal areas were thoroughly cleaned each day. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Well located, very calmy, close to the city centre just 20 minutes footwork. Was swimming in the pool every morning. Kitchen is well equipped tonight you can sit in front of your house and watch the stars. Kindly recommended: walk to the near locatated botanical garden, to the Anzac Hill to get an overview on the town. I recommend a visit to the historic telegraph office and the flying doctor service and book a tour to the West McDonald ranges.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, particularly the managers. Anna went out of her way to accommodate me despite late unplanned arrival. I’ve been travelling solo for nearly 3 months now, staying exclusively in backpacker / hostel accommodation and the YHA at Alice Springs is head and shoulders above anywhere I have stayed. The helpfulness of the crew was extraordinary. The 2 storey building has upper a large terrace, but the ground level has a beautiful little garden ! Kitchen: perfectry equipped. Each unit has its washing machine. Parking: at your door. Moreover there is a little pool in the middle of garden. If you arrive late in the evening, a code- key and a very detailed map welcomes you, so you can take your room very easy.

    Telegraph Station, The Royal Flying Doctor Service and the School of the Air are all exceptional and very much worth a visit. Anzac Hill provides a good view of Alice Springs and is perfect for an evening sunset. Bojangles Saloon & Dining Room is great for lunch, offers a really unique atmosphere. Alice Springs is 'Dry' Mondays and Tuesdays so if you would like to partake in a glass of wine or a cold beer you will need to acquire these ahead of time.

    Alice Springs is a beautiful place, just like any other town...

    Alice Springs is a beautiful place, just like any other town. It has it social problems and everything is normal. The scenery is compared to none. Though locals run a muck, but all foreigners were great. So it’s a great mix.

    I have to say I don't understand why people visit here other...

    I have to say I don't understand why people visit here other than that it's somewhere to stay and also eat before heading off to the various natural attractions. There was no charm or character. I feel like I missed something. It was just a dumpy, dreary town with the odd boring historical building. The best part of Alice Springs would be the Desert Wildlife Park which was excellent, but I couldn't see that it had anything else going for it.

    Don't listen to media reports ... Alice is perfectly safe. There are parts of town at night that would be less safe, but that happens everywhere. Make adult decisions and you will have a wonderful time.

    We unfortunately encountered 2 days of rain on our 2 day stay. Guidebooks helped us get around and choose activities to do indoors. People were friendly and helpful, but you must be vigilant about local gatherings about the place. Stay alert at all times when out and about

    There were lovely walks and bike rides around town Day trips were sensational. We loved Ellery creek water hole for a swim and relax. We went on a three day camping tour which was great. It was a round trip from Alice Springs

    We have stayed at the Desert Palms Alice Springs in the past and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great, very clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and they have great facilities such as the pool, laundry room and BBQ area. The property has an automatic code gate at night and well secured. There is a coded back gate if you wish to go to the golf club for a hit of golf or for a meal. We enjoyed sitting on our private balcony enjoying a quiet beverage whilst enjoying the lovely weather.

    Central location,easy to find. Undercover secure parking, Exceptional staff, we had a small fault in our room and it was fixed immediately and they even compensated us , the apartment was beautifully set out , well maintained and had everything you could need, Including a washing machine. Absolutely 5 stars.

    Everything. This is one of the best b&b we have stayed in. The accommodation is outstanding. The hosts Ian & Helen are very accommodating and giving great tips on what to see. The breakfast spread was amazing. If you are visiting Alice Springs you find it hard to beat this

    Our room was large, comfortable and clean. It was located in a very central location so we could walk around Alice Springs knowing the car was safely in the hotel carpark. Uncle’s Tavern was full of life and a great place to meet some local people.
