Everything. It looks better than the photos. We have views of both the mountain and the sea. It has both indoor and outdoor patios. All rooms are very clean and comfortable. Has all the required amenities as well and just a very short walking distance away is a restaurant and shops including one where you can book your penguin tours. Scenic lookouts are also nearby. Wish we have stayed at least another night cos so much to explore In Bicheno.

Gorgeous cottage called The Stables. Lots of windows and well appointed. Coffee machine and Cafeteria provided. Salt & pepper grinders provided. Comfortable bed and crisp sheets and thick towels. Free laundry facilities. Very short walk to the beach. Just fabulous!

    We visited the Devils in the Dark show. Brilliant! Viewing feeding the Tasmanian Devils over wine and cheese. Great dinner at Sealife Restaurant and Cafe. Comfortable stay at Bicheno on the Bay. Penguin chick under our deck was noisy but so exciting to see. Blowhole and beaches are stunning.

    Bicheno was a great base to explore the area.

    Bicheno was a great base to explore the area. We were sad we did not see any penguins. We had take away fish and chips at Tasmanian Coastal Seafoods which was beautifully cooked and delicious! We also had dinner at Le Coq and wow, was the most amazing piece of steak that melted in your mouth.

    Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money,...

    Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money, central location, within walking distance to most attractions. We ate at Food & Brew for lunch & the iconic Lobster Shack for dinner, with some afternoon beers at the newly opened Bicheno Beer Co cellar door. The blowhole is a short walk or easily accessible by a short car drive. Beautiful seaside town with lots to offer, definitely recommend staying a night or two.

    Coastal walks were superb.

    Coastal walks were superb. We could see the lookout on the hill but had great difficulty in finding information about it & easy access - a wasted opportunity for new visitors to the area as once up there the views were fabulous.

    I must admit that when I saw the property I was very disappointed .advertised as a lake view on the bay,It was a mediocre motel at best and the lake was a dirty children’s play pool really but dirty and I would never have let any children of mine anyway near it.

    Bicheno was very enjoyable and a great location to stay a few nights and enjoy the surrounds. Well located to do day trips north or south along the east coast. Enjoyed the Penguin Tour. Very scenic location.

    We loved our stay at this cozy cottage! The front deck was perfect for enjoying morning coffees in the sunshine, and the location couldn’t have been better - just a short stroll to the beach where we walked along the rock trail and even spotted a seal. The cottage itself was warm and welcoming, with comfortable beds and a layout that would be ideal for a group of four. A charming, relaxing spot that made our Tasmanian road trip even more memorable. Highly recommend!

    When we arrived the reception was closed, however everything was very well organized. It was no problem doing the check-in ourselves. The room did not originally include breakfast so we had asked for that. This was solved by putting a great breakfast tray in the refrigerator! Regarding the surroundings the Bicheno blowhole is only a few minutes walk from the hotel area, likewise is the Bicheno center in the other direction.

    Very clean and comfortable with heated extras ie. toilet seat and towel rails, heaters, electric blanket…essential for a Tasmanian winter. Lovely location and wonderful views. Good communication from hosts and thoughtful extra touches eg. binoculars, well stocked kitchenette and bathroom.
