Arriving at 5pm and not being able to answer his message, poor Andy was in his office pretty late for mycheck-in and still was very friendly and not mad at all. All that for someone only staying for one night. We had a nice chat and I got a lot of info on this place. Because there were some Orcas in the bay the day before my arrival, I maxed out my time starring out in great hope. Dindn't get lucky. Because of the weather the sunrise wasn't spectacular either. But the room and the view still were. The view even on a rainy winter day was great. After check-out I also could experience that Portland offers everything you could possibly need in this small town. I should have planned with more time for this wonderful place. The kitchen area is well-equiped. It took me a while to fing the water kettle (is that the right term at all?). Just look around and you will find more than you need. The bed is comfortable and the room very big.

A beautiful Bed & Breakfast full of charm! The house and its Victorian-style early 20th-century decor are wonderfully preserved. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. The other guests were also very friendly, and there were plenty of lovely conversations in the cozy living room or over breakfast. Another highlight is the stunning Cape Bridgewater, a fantastic beach nearby, perfect for swimming. I was able to borrow beach towels from the accommodation.
