Wonderful place to stay, relax, try wonderful restaurants and local venues. We stay in Freo to indulge at wonderful restaurants and we are never disappointed. For local places to go to, try something different, try Darling Darling, a cute little bar on Henry St, or the roof top bar (try the delicious tapas lunch options) at the National Hotel on High St. Awesome.

Fremantle is a perfect location if you are planning a visit to WA but want to stay outside the Perth city area. It has quirky bars, restaurants and interesting shopping for all ages. The train system allows easy access to all areas across the broader Perth area.

Rottnest Island was beautiful and is a must see. We also travelled to Perth on the train which had nice scenery. Once we arrived in Perth city we enjoyed travelling around the city on the Perth Explorer hop on hop off Bus.

A most interesting place full of historic interest.

A most interesting place full of historic interest. Enjoyed the museums, art galleries, prison, restaurants, Bathers beach area, markets, and general ambience of Fremantle. I Centre staff very helpful and locals welcoming. Would have been very happy to stay longer if we had suitable accommodation.

Shops are quirky and interesting, people are friendly and helpful. Better to go when the markets are open as this creates a good atmosphere. Rejuvenation of Freo is good to see, but there is a long way to go as empty shop fronts and social problems are all around. The waterfront area is a real highlight with good restaurants and brewery, WA Maritime Museum with The Great Kimberly Wilderness as a brilliant interactive experience. Good food all around and lovely cafe culture feeling.

If you are a single traveler this accommodation falls between youth hostel and hotel. You get your own room and there is are shared bathrooms on each floor - multiple showers and toilet cubicles. A large residents lounge gives extra relaxing space if you are staying more than one night. As a base to explore Fremantle it was an easy walk to the great shops and on to Gage Roads. It is a rambling old building so look pass the hard wearing decor and see what was a grand staircase and high ceilings and think how much you are saving.

Rooms are lovely, hotel is in a great location within Fremantle. Walking distance to FOMO arcade complex for kids, close to hundreds of great restaurants and bars, 10 minute walk to waterfront. Free welcome drink at Gimlet altho we didn’t get a chance to do this. Items in bar fridge (2 beers, 2 soft drinks, a kit Kat and a small red wine bottle) all free.

The location of this hotel is its main selling point. Opposite Esplanade Park and a stones throw from bars, restaurants and the Fremantle Markets. We booked a standard superior room which was clean and tidy, good sized balcony overlooking the street.

They give you free rides from the hotel to areas around Fremantle and the place had a lot to offer like a down stairs bar, pool and a balcony area for leisure.
