The Jacarandas were spectacular and more so in certain streets. I checked the internet for the best photo opportunities. Fig Tree Avenue was amazing as I’ve never seen a row of fig trees on either side of the street before. I walked along the river and the original bridge. I’ve never seen a bridge with so many turns. One thing I was disappointed about was the fact I’d forgotten about day light saving and I missed seeing most of the Jacaranda parade. Grafton is such a beautiful town in NSW.
Grafton is such a beautiful town in NSW. We went there just after the Jacaranda Festival in 2024. The beautiful jacaranda trees were still flowering even though there was heavy rain the day we arrived at the town. A lot of historical buildings in town such as the Post Office, the courthouse, and the Church. The food at Flame Tree Cafe is wonderful and we loved the jacaranda ice cream. I am not sure how much jacaranda flowers in it but it tasted wonderful. We do not have much time to visit the regional gallery and it is on our next visit list. The people in town are very friendly and they greeted me when I was wandering around. We missed the Jacaranda Festival so if you are travelling with family, maybe consider coming during the festival.Guest review byWeidong - 10.0

Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. It was close (within walking distance to the big shopping centre) and it was simple to find. The staff were lenient and patient and when I asked for a ground floor room she gave it to me. The shower looked nice also.Guest review byRobin

Bed is it least 15 years old and was less than queen size as advertised. There were cobwebs behind the main door and in the corners of the main door way. The light above the bed did not work. There was no fly screen for the courtyard, which was heavily greens in the answer of mosquitoes. The main issue was the bed was too small and very old as were the pillowcases.
