Must do is the Pacific Whale Foundation Whale trip, totally awesome and they are non profit so all the money goes back into the research of the whales. I prefer the quieter side of Hervey Bay the side we stayed in Torquay was busy but vibrant. Loads of places to eat on the Esplanade. The pier is worth a walk along. Hervey Bay was great as the esplanade is long and plenty of shops/restaurants and bars to visit. There is a walking path on both sides and a few jetty's and piers to walk down. It was close to eating places and across the road from the beach. Being on a main road we expected a bit of road noise but was pleasantly surprised that we couldn't hear it.The office staff were very friendly. If you expect to be in a 5* resort you will be disappointed but if you just want a place that is close to the beach, eateries, that is clean and has Air conditioner, Wi-Fi, TV, Toiletries tea and coffee well I can recommend the Urangan Motor Inn.Guest review byDianeAustralia
