We thoroughly enjoyed the wild life around us , feeding the kangaroos nightly .. very peaceful and relaxing .. however we feel there should’ve been tea/coffee sugar sachets and long life milk on arrival as there aren’t any shops close by .. so after long trip over really looking forward to a coffee .. also washing up liquid was only enough for 1 day .. toilet paper only 2 rolls ( not enough for our 7 day stay ) Went to cook on the bbq , no tongs or scraper . However we did ring owner and he was more then happy to bring us tongs ( but that’s not the point ) all these things are basics in a budget accommodation . stayed in plenty others .. and the bed was very hard but that is too be expected in most cases . Island Beach is gorgeous! Calm waters protected in a bay.
Island Beach is gorgeous! Calm waters protected in a bay. Close enough to Penneshaw for Supplies but not amongst the hustle of Kingscote. Boat ramp is easily accessible, lots of kangaroos and wallabies to see at dusk, family friendly.. Island Beach is a hidden Gem.Guest review byMelanieAustralia - 10.0
This was a great location for the kids.
This was a great location for the kids. They really enjoyed seeing the local wildlife. Kangaroos, possums and wallabies come right up to you. The beach is gorgeous, clean and clear water! It’s a great central location on the island!Guest review byChrissyAustralia
