This might just be a 'hotel on top of a hotel' kind of place, but I think this might be the best of the lot. Kept impressively clean, including the common bathroom, a plush bed, good wifi to boot, and it's also pretty quiet even WITH the bar downstairs! Staff were incredibly helpful as well, and I can't say I found anything too wrong with this place, especially if you are just stopping for the night on a road trip down and need somewhere decently priced to stay!

Service was amazing, when I checked in staff asked about why I booked and I told them it was a weekend planned for my birthday with my family and gave a complimentary bottle of wine. They explained everything about the place, what they had to offer and things we could do. Our apartment was amazing, spacious, modern and very clean.

    Killarney Vale is a little-known gem which is a BONUS in today's 'rat race' because it still has the charm of an untouched beach/lake area. It is close to the Lake, Beaches, cafes, local shops (which are mostly privately owned -ensuring good old-fashioned service with a smile). I stumbled across Maggie's Nest because although I have lived in Melbourne all my life I have always gravitated to smaller bushy and beach areas which remind me of my summers as a child many moons ago. I therefore booked my 15 nights of my Road Trip with my fur baby Darcy, wanting to spend nights in smaller towns en-route to visiting my son David, his fiancee Caz and my 6 week old grandson, Jagwah Jean for Mothers Day. My entire trip was WONDERFUL, and Killarney Vale/Maggie's Nest was part of the Wonder of our beautiul Country, Australia. THANK YOU!! I will not mention all the stores I visited in Killarney Vale/Long Jetty (a neighbouring suburb) in case I forget a few but ALL were friendly, helpful and accommodating of both myself and my dog. With sincerest appreciation, Doris PEROSIN and Darcy xx I will submit photos once I return to Melbourne because I will need a tech-savvy friend to help me do that. I am a tech nuff nuff

    Killarney Vale is a lovely central location with a mix of residences. Some parts are really close to the Lake and lovely walks. Beaches and lookouts are all within easy driving distance. Not an exclusive locale but really quite lovely and convenient.
