Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to stay.

Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to stay. Esplanade, boardwalks, beaches, wineries, cafes, and quirky little stores. Explore the Cunningham and North Arms via kayak or jump on one of the many cruises to see the marine life. Plenty to do - you just need to look beyond the obvious!

Portside boat hire allows you to enjoy cruising the boat...

Portside boat hire allows you to enjoy cruising the boat from North Arm heading west passing Bullock Island towards Bancroft Bay. You will enjoy the view of the Entrance from the boat despite you are not permitted to head towards the Entrance. Then get back on the road to go to the Lakes Entrance Lookout. This gives you the bird eye view of the route that you have cruised along with Entrance in the backdrop.

The views from the lookout at Jemmy's Point are stupendous!

The views from the lookout at Jemmy's Point are stupendous! We also enjoyed our 3 hour eco cruise on the Londsdale ferry, during which we were served fantastic scones baked on board. Nyerimilang homestead grounds were interesting, and a day trip to Raymond Island to see the koalas was very worthwhile.

    The Albatross Motel was good.

The Albatross Motel was good. Parking easy to unload our bags etc. We re- booked for our return trip and upgraded to a more modern room. We thought the owners were just lovely and most personable. Credit due, as they have been owners for a couple of years and doing their best. Good luck to them.!!! They deserve it. Nice people.

I did an eco tour and the information about the area, fauna and wild life were extensive. The skipper and the host did their best to give us a good time although it was raining. It was a time well spend. The information provided the time and knowledge to explore by myself. There is a lot to choose from but my time was limited. I will be back and spend more time there as well as repeating the tour. I did not have a car but I have not explored the public transport options within the area, that is my next job, It is possible to rent a bike or canoe, I am not a fishing person but like to walk.

I have stayed here several times before over many years and love the seclusion in the forest although still being close to Lakes Entrance. As many people have said, the property is dated, and could do with a bit of an update, however, it is ideal for a short getaway away from the main areas of Lakes Entrance. It was clean and comfortable and exactly as I remember it. It is very good value for money. Close to Kalimna Hotel for a meal.

This is a Family Owned and run Motel on Esplanade Lakes Entrance. The water view is across the road and the Motel is a short distance to the bridge to the sea beach, shops and restaurants. Sandbar Motel has a very quaint and friendly atmosphere with lovely extras eg homemade cookies on arrival, tray with trinkets etc. Beds very comfortable as was the room and facilities. Greeting on arrival very warm and friendly.
