Having been to and really loving Hobart, my daughter and I decided to try the next biggest city in Tasmania, Launceston. It's not as vibrant and does not offer as many attractions as Hobart, but does boast the glorious Cataract Gorge and Tamar Wetlands. With a car, you can also visit landmarks including Cradle Mountain, the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary and Freycinet National Park. We also chanced upon the Truffle Farm Tasmania on our drive to the wildlife sanctuary and stopped for some truffle oil, mustard and cream!

Great town to visit - proximity to great landscapes such as Ben Lomond, Liffey Falls, Cradle Mountain and Strahan, nearby wine regions and of course Hobart, the south and west is just a couple of hours or so drive away. Beautiful town with its own great attractions - great place to chill and enjoy on foot, enjoy fantastic produce of all descriptions, and go to great restaurants both local and regional every day.

I loved Launceston and wished we had stayed longer. As we flew in and out of Launceston, we didn't consider staying longer. Everyone we met were incredibly friendly and helpful. The main part of the city is very easy to walk around. I ate at a lovely cafe for breakfast and the food and service were amazing. Coffee is also brilliant.

I booked a three-bedroom unit, and both the rooms and kitchen were very clean. My two kids are usually allergic to dust mites, but thankfully, there were no issues this time. The hotel staff contacted me a day in advance to confirm the expected check-in time. Since I arrived at Launceston Airport at 7 AM, they mentioned that if other guests checked out early, they would prioritize cleaning the room so I could check in earlier and rest well. Highly recommend this accommodation—the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating.

My friend in Launceston recommended this hotel. The staff was super friendly and upgraded my room to the river view. I love it. The lounge is the best place to stay if you like to spend a cold Sunday afternoon. There is nice music, beautiful coffee, and comfy seats. This is the No.1 choice if you like to come to Launceston.

Nothing. Very disappointed with my stay. They should not call themself a hotel as hotels are supposed to provide housekeeping to guests. They fall under airbnb category !! The booking.com should not allow such properties on their website. They are way overpriced for the service they provide
