Mudgee has everything you could want.
Mudgee has everything you could want. Boutique shopping, great accommodation and food options, three breweries (alongside the typical "pub on every corner" charm of a thriving country town), and the wineries are up there with some of the best I've visited. Went to the Three Tails Brewery, plenty of beers on tap, try the (alcoholic) ginger beer. The food here was amazing with huge portions. Also went to Lowe's vineyard, which was fabulous. I recommend the meal with pairing wines, its a bit expensive but the food and wines were fabulous as was the scenery. Mudgee is a very pleasant country town surrounded by excellent wineries. Visitors a spoilt for choice for lovely eateries. Our favourite winery is Mansfield Wines and the High Valley Cheese shop & the adjoining restaurant on Ulan Road are lovely. The property was so clean and we just loved our stay! Mudgee is a beautiful destination. We experienced a gorgeous walk to The Drip Gorge, hired E-bikes and did a 20 km bike ride and visited Craigmoor winery. The town centre was great and we even went to Gulgong, Rylstone and Kandos. Friday or Saturday unless you like to hang downstairs in the hotel bar - as I could imagine there would be some noise travelling up into the rooms - Expected however.
