Honestly it is a beautiful part of the world, so many amazing sites and places to explore. During our trip it was very busy so I would definitely recommend booking for dinner ahead of time as it was too full for us to get in anywhere however the Thai restaurant made a plan for our group and they were phenomenal. If you are after a relaxing holiday destination, with a pleasant time strolling around shops and food options - Port Douglas is a good choice. Weekend markets in the area are a really cool morning activity. We really enjoyed the Lady Douglas boat tour, the Captain was informative of the area and very accommodating for Photographers. Port Douglas is small enough to reach most places in a 10-minute walk. The apartments were great with covered parking and a lovely pool to cool down in the evening. The toad-racing at Chilly's Pizza (twice a week) was a hoot. I've recommended Port Douglas to friends and would love to visit again. Great beaches, pubs, restaurants and shops.
