Well worth visiting, even as a day trip.

Well worth visiting, even as a day trip. Beautiful, pretty, easy walks with spectacular rainforest scenery and lots of waterfalls. Bring your bathers to have a swim in the waterfall pools and streams. Drive slowly up there cos its nicer but also to avoid running over the cute little jumping Pademelons. You can tell there has been less public investment in Parks/conservation in QLD compared to NSW and Vic so expect the facilities, including walking paths, to be more like 1980s-era elsewhere. Also QLD appears to be struggling to keep up with cleaning up after the continual stream of natural disasters, so check what tracks are open. Definitely shop for groceries and treats before you go. There is a small grocery shop / pub / fast food just opened up there but stocks are very limited & they are still finding their feet. There are no night time restaurants/food (only day time). The locally-designed map of Springbrook is useful but it is not completely accurate - eg the location of English Tea Gardens is not near/at Springbrook Retreat. Highly recommend going to the English Tea Gardens. It has lovely indoor and garden settings and has the best fresh scones i have had in a long time. And in addition to English teas they offer divine Taiwanese teas. There is also tasteful rustic pottery for sale (it is run by a lovely elderly Taiwanese couple). There are also a few other nice places to have a day- time meals and snacks, including vegetarian offerings. On the way to/from Springbrook, just before the hill climb, there is a lovely large casual garden restaurant/tea stop called Bonappetea. They do High Teas, casual meals, tasting plates (including vegetarian food) and are popular for small events.

Springbrook is a beautiful natural environment.

Springbrook is a beautiful natural environment. It is best to bring food with you because there are limited places to eat out. If you like being close to some great walking trails and experiencing nature then Springbrook is the place to visit.

    A warm welcome at reception.

A warm welcome at reception. The chalet was cosy, relaxing and had sufficient facilities. The hot tub was amazing after a days walking. Kichen was equipped with plenty utensils. Bed very comfortable. The fire was fantastic, kept us toasty and warm in the evening. Beautiful colourful birds fly to the bird tables to feed, bird seed is in a pot in the chalet kitchen so you can feed the lovely birds. Close to the National Park.

The cabin was such a romantic little getaway, loved everything about it. Not close to a lot of restaurants (about an hour plus drive), so definitely recommend cooking, except it definitely needs more kitchenware in the house and definitely an oven. Easy and close to find rainforest tracks.

This gem in the heart of Springbrook national park is within walking distance to Twin Falls Circuit walk and the local cafe - perfect for a long weekend stay. Included were continental breakfast, plenty of heaters - including indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit (BYO firewood) and electric blankets - great for a winter getaway. Loved the amount of wildlife in the backyard (pademelons and parrots). Andreas and Christina were even kind enough to check in during our stay - great service!

Awesome hosts, lovely home, with a lot of attention to detail. Loved the campfire spaces. Very comfortable 2 compact bedrooms and a large living space. Definitely one of the finer living spaces in Springbrook mountains. Easily connected to the sights and activities in the Springbrook mountains

The space is huge and well maintained. We enjoy the day we stayed. They got indoor & outdoor fireplace. You can enjoy the rustic vibe or modern vibe at same place. Springbrook national park is just nearby, so you can imagine the nature and pure air is amazing.

The cottage is wonderful and peaceful, it exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect for a nature lover or if you like hiking as you have one of the best walks practically on your doorstep. Springbrook is a wonderful town to stay in.
