Sydney is such a wonderful city. Clean and so much to do.

Sydney is such a wonderful city. Clean and so much to do. People are friendly (for a large city) and the public transport is fabulous. I travelled with my son (12 years old) and we had a fantastic time. We loved Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium, Luna Park and tours of the Rocks, Opera House and Observatory Make sure you take comfortable shoes as there are a lot of sights to see

We love Sydney and visit once a year for a 3 night stay.

We love Sydney and visit once a year for a 3 night stay. We always visit the fish market and the Gallery of NSW and then see if we can discover new places to visit and restaurants to try. The public transport system is fabulous and from the moment we step off the plane, we can easily get to wherever we choose. We especially love a few cruises on the ferries and made the most of the beautiful weather this weekend. The Taronga Zoo was a highlight this weekend, just a short ferry ride and such a shady and beautiful location.

We didn’t see any of Sydney sights this time as we have visited the city many times before. The reason for this was it was a stopover before catching the train from Central to Brooklyn, in the morning, to do the Riverboat Postman cruise on the Hawkesbury River.

It is a wonderful and vibrant city. If you stay in or close to the CBD then you have everything within reach by either tram, train or bus. So many eating options and the famous Bondi Beach is just a bus ride away.

Sydney is NOT Australia but an excellent first stop. Some amazing sights even so. Loved the Opera House and the Rocks area and the Art Galleries. Excellent restaurants and food generally has improved so much during the 30 Yeats I've been visiting Australia. Wonderful relaxed , optimistic, condo atmosphere

Lived in Sydney for quite a few years till I moved to Queensland. Sydney is overly busy now and when I visit I especially head for the Rocks area which is extremely interesting. While here we ate in the Rocks area which has plenty of restaurants and cafes. I always found it easy to get around Sydney either with buses or trains and ferries. Being a couple over 75 and only there for two days the only trip we did was go to Manly for the day.

Hotel is a nice combination of old and new decor, classy. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. In a good central location within CBD, lots of activities close by and quality restaurants in vicinity. Breakfast until 11am which I liked as I'm not a "morning" person (some hotels I've stayed in previously stopped breakfast at 9:30am forcing an early rise and rushed shower etc to make it in time to eat). I'm a wheelchair user, "easy access" room was spacious and well designed.

I attended a wedding outside CBD it's handy to be closer to central station for train commuting. I stayed in Marriot Harbour Hotel a night before my Mercure stay and i can compare the bathroom finishing of both hotels which Mercure had a better bathrooms than Marriot Harbour although room wise Mercure is quiet tight.

The booking was cancelled on the last minute by the hotel. Booking.com was not very helpful. They have zero customer service. You can’t talk to anyone at booking.com since they don’t have any contact number. Would not recommend wasting your money with booking.com. I haven’t even received a refund

Everything! It was honestly one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Room service was exceptional. The bed was divine. Very clean, room smelled nice. I was also upgraded to an East Harbour view at no extra charge.
