Good short break.

Good short break. I went to some shows at the Opera House that were great. Saw some exhibitions at the State Library. Had a bit of retail therapy. Explored some areas I had not been to before. The light rail was so handy.

Enjoyed visiting the historic Customs House located at Circular Quay. This building has scaled model of Sydney City under glazed panels which you may walk over, located on the ground floor. Included in the building is a library some business hubs plus a cafe with a great view of Circular Quay. Spent some time behind the ferry terminals watching a wonderful aboriginal music and dance group. Made our way back up to Martin Place Metro Station and tried a variety of croissants and coffee at the Lune Croissanterie Cafe in Castlereagh Street.

Like any major city, no matter how long you stay, you can't see it all or take in everything it has to offer. Stayed near Circular Quay, which meant we were close to where tours start, restaurants, city transport and the Opera House, which we toured.

So easy to get around everywhere especially on the Metro.

So easy to get around everywhere especially on the Metro. Railway staff were very helpful with directions and usually no more than a 15 min wait. Love the architecture of all the old buildings around the city - so much to see old and new. We went down for a family reunion and also to see Sculptures by the Sea exhibition while there.

Clean, modern room and flexible bedding options, depending on the group. Great location to access Sydney Airport. Slightly further in distance than some other hotels, but much easier to get to the airport, because it’s near Mascot train station (one stop). Also easy to access Sydney CBD by train in 10 minutes (2 stops to Central). Staff were friendly and price was reasonable.

The location of the hotel was good. Was a 25 minute bus ride to the CBD and a 40 minute bus ride to Sydney Olympic Park. I had 2 events one in the CBD and one at Sydney Olympic Park so the location was perfectly in the middle for me. Daily breakfast was from 7-9. They served toast, cereal, juice, yogurt and fresh fruit daily. The room 409 was very clean, and comfortable.

The facilities are modern, the mini bar is well stocked, the rooms are cleaned well and regularly. The room service is very tasty. Hotel bar is hip.
