Yea is a lovely friendly town within easy travelling distance from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The township comprises three good pubs of which the Country Club Hotel is the best. Additionally, there are a number of coffee shops, take-away food outlets, a good-sized licenced supermarket, two petrol stations and a superb council run swimming pool. Yea is a great place for a one-night stop or longer if you plan to visit vineyards, points of interest and other smaller surrounding towns with specialty eateries and attractions, ride the bike tracks or just explore. The Yea River Caravan Park is a good place to stay and is an easy five-minute walk to town, the caravan park is spotlessly clean with excellent facilities and the owners are super friendly.

Yea is a small town but has lots to see including easy access to the cycling great Victorian rail trail. Had a great pub meal one night and the bakery had too many choices to take in. Nearby towns for Alexandra and Eildon were easy to access with a fairly short drive.

It was our first time to get away from farm duties during the Christmas school holidays. Taking the kids away for a quick get away was fun and stress free. The Villa we stayed in was wonderful neat and tidy. We enjoyed our time at Yea.

    The local Bakery.

The local Bakery. Has the best pies pasties sausage rolls I have ever tasted. Its always packed with customers and I have done a lot of travelling around Australia . It should be awarded for the best Bakery in the area. Cooked a meal most nights in the cabin/villa. One lunch at the local pub and the food is first class. Yes very easy to get around. Nothing its a great little country town in Yea Victoria.
