A good alternative to the much trendier and therefore pricier northern beaches of Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. And definitely much quieter! A comprehensive shopping strip on the main street and of course not far from the large shopping complex at Smithfield. A few restaurant options available, including the yacht club. There is a bus service into Cairns CBD, but I would recommend hiring a vehicle for your stay. Taxis are very expensive.Guest review byRuss & JulieAustralia - 10

Unseasonable rain and windy conditions would be the only downside to the trip. Yorkys is a perfect spot for a family holiday. The location on the esplanade was close to cafes and local shops. Walking access to the beach is ideal.Guest review byChrisAustralia

Extra large bed was a total winner for me, so spacious. Management were kind enough to organise a coffee plunger for the room which I really appreciated, thankyou. We were pool facing, really gorgeous to wake up to with tropical trees and the pool. Resort is very quiet, guests keep to themselves. Yorkeys knob is a quiet village, however situated close to palm cove for eating out. This hotel has a lovely heated pool, walking distance to an amazing playground. To the beach and to some shops for essentials.
