Had a positively lovely experience staying at De Horizon. The very spacious, comfy room, the delicious freshly made breakfast, the warm and welcoming couple who run the B&B, the proximity to major walking trails and the ease of access are some of the reasons why I intend to stay here again sometime. I was travelling with a pet (which I had discussed and cleared with the venue prior to booking), and he was also very warmly received and hosted, which was a major plus on top of everything else listed above.

Excellent view of the surroundings. Close to the büttgenbach lake and lots of hikes to do in the environment. Sauna and jacuzzi were welcome after a day of walking and nice and cozy room.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was welcoming, the room was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. It immediately felt like home. The wooden elements in the room, from floors, beams, and other details, were authentically integrated and gave the whole stay a special character. Combined with the spotless cleanliness, it was simply perfect. We would come back any time. It's an easy 10/10 for us!

Staff were very friendly. Hotel and restaurant/bar was spotless. Water pressure in the shower was great. We had motorbikes which could be parked in secure garages. The quality of food for dinner and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

    The Eifel Nature Reserve, is simply a beautiful Area, inviting you for nice hikes through the forested Area and it's beautiful Lakes. In addition, a number of man make Lakes, used as drinking water reservoirs for the whole of Belgium, can be found in the surrounding Area, as well as the Hohes Venn - Eifel, where visitors experience a wide variety of landscapes, such as raised bogs, limestone basins and other natural beauties, as well as Signal de Botrange, the highest Point of Belgium - but don't worry, at 694 metres (2,277 feet) you will not need any Oxygen to get there.

    Fantastic Wellness Facilities, nice Rooms, furnished in a typical traditional German Style. The 4-course dinner of the half-board arrangement was good and tasty. The Breakfast, which was open until 11:00am on Sunday, was very good. The offering of home made products was very much appreciated and added a very personal touch to the experience. Note for our American travellers: as so often in the norther part of Europe, this Hotel has no air-conditioning, which is actually not needed anyway.

    Very friendly and helpful personnel, tasty dinner at the restaurant, availability of swimming pool and wellness, nature and good air quality outside of the hotel, clean and spacious room (feels very new), close to Monschau and Luxemburg, play area outside the hotel for kids (no fence, so supervision required).

    Lovely hotel, very spacious room with balcony, bed comfortable. Food was exceptional. The staff are so lovely. In the countryside so you need transport to access. Definitely recommend this hotel and we will be returning
