The staff were professional and relaxed. The food was everything we'd hoped for. The atmosphere was chilled and friendly. We plan to re-book there when we return to see our Ronse friends. The Sporthotel was one of the best lodgings from our 3 week trip through Europe.

The location is perfect for cycling, which was the reason we travelled there. The room is cozy and quiet, and the whole house is decorated in memorabilia and accessories from local cycling culture. It is located on a quiet street without much traffic. The host is kind and friendly, we received a warm welcome and great tips, and his spaghetti bolognaise are delicious. All our needs were met.

It calls itself the birth place of Hercule Poirot and has a statue of the Belgian detective on the museum building next to the church. In the museum (currently closed for renovation) they also have a copy of the birth certificate of the fictional character invented by Agatha Christie: The birth date being the 1st of April 1850 :-)
