Big room and bathroom. Comfy bed. Great lovely abundant cafe da manha with very friendly staff serving it. Wifi was pretty good. Easy to commute to the beaches and centro historico by foot or bus. Would definitely go back.

This hotel is 5 minutes from the center of São Luis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 2 miles from the beach and 7 miles from Sao Luis Airport.

The hotel is in São Francisco region, between Litorânia and the Center. There is not much around but is close to the main attractions, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good however, to order tapioca or omelet there was a line that somedays it made it quite hard. On the check-in we got a welcome drink from the friendly staff.

We got there early and were accommodated very fast altho not at the Américo, but the owner? Took us to the pousada right behind the Portas da Amazônia, which i understand is same owners. Portas da Amazônia was a great stay, Nice big fancy room, unfortunately we had no door so there were mosquitos inside and got bitten a bit, anyways we didn't really care as we booked it with my friend only clause our flight out of St Luiz was at 3 am. We enjoyed the short stay and nap :) Thank you and greetings to the gentleman who received us at Américo pousada and walk us to the other side. He was very friendly and nice. God bless

The staff was very co operative and nice . I forgot to take kindle with me while i checked out , they gracefully have sent it to my collegues place for me to take it from there. :) Facilities are good , its very near to the beach ( an awsome beach!) . Overall , very good stay and service.
