The house was beautiful. The bed was SO comfortable. The balcony was a perfect place to sit and start my day and sit reading a book at night. The breakfast was beyond my expectations. Yogurt, fruit cups, fresh fruit basket, meats and cheeses, jams and butters, hot hard boiled eggs, WARM croissants and other baked goods. Juices, coffee and tea topped it off. The bed was super comfy. I was able to have my own bathroom to myself. The wallpaper and photos were a perfect touch along with artifacts around the house. I was able to find a book on the upstairs bookshelf written in the late 1800's, it was a perfect read for one night. The lady of the house was SO amazing and was there when you needed her if you required anything. Responded quickly to messages and was just and incredible host, making the whole experience truly perfect. Barkersville it's self was amazing and the staff just add to the charm. I will bring my family back next year and enjoy it all over with them. Thank you to every single staff member seen and behind the scenes, you really make the whole experience memorable.

This place was fantastic! Reasonable rate and exceptional value. It's very clean and extremely cosy, so much attention to detail in ensuring we had everything we needed, kitchen was well set up for an old building and the bathroom had nice toiletries. The beds were very comfortable one of my best hotel sleeps ever. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and friendly, provided lots of information on the places to visit, and were helpful in any way we asked.
