Invermere is a gem located on Windermere Lake in the Kootenay area of BC… absolutely beautiful town with lots to offer tourists, including a great public beach and hot springs close by. We love visiting this beautiful town. The town has a few good restaurants, great walking and hiking areas. Close to a lake. Excellent bike trail from town down to Fairmont Hot Springs. Invermere is a beautiful, charming and friendly town in the Columbia Valley of the East Kootenay in BC. Excellent location to explore to beauty of the valley and surrounding mountains. Bed worn out, have at least one comfortable chair! elevator smelt like pot and cigarettes, our heater/air conditioner would not work properly then malfunctioned we had to unplug on first day. Website said had hot tub not!!!. The free breakfast was absolutely gross. The tvs channel selection was so limited it was useless. I love going to Invermere but this time Their pride stuff was a little over the top . Pride flags all over I would have liked to ask what they were proud of . The beautiful nature God created ?? The friendliness of local merchants? The exclusion of people with different views and morals ? I do hope their are as many Canada flags up for Canada Day celebration to remember the hard work our ancestors did to develop this country to make it glorious and free . The condo has a good sized master ensuite with ample clothes space, kitchen was well equipped (thanks for the coffee, bonus!), layout of living space worked well and we loved the fact that our 6-year old son had his own room and tv snug / playroom.
