Paris has lovely shops. Most shops open at 10 am or later. We stopped at the Paris Beer Company for a nice cold beer and fresh pretzel on their patio. The brewery is within walking distance from the Arlington Hotel, as is Still Waters Restaurant on Grand River St N where we enjoyed a lovely dinner and watched rafts go down the river. Paris is an interesting old town.
Paris is an interesting old town. If you are interested in architecture, nature and family run shops this is a great place to visit. We were there for the "Tasty Tour" and met some very pleasant people who were part of the tour. We had dinner at Capeesh overlooking the river and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have always enjoyed visiting the town of Paris. I always find the town clean and the people we interact with are lovely. The town has grown considerably since my last visit, but has not lost its charm. The downtown core is what I enjoy mostly about Paris…we stayed in The Arlington Hotel….the staff and accommodations are top notch! We ate at COBBLESTONE and STILLWATERS…..both are EXCELLENT in their service and food was DELICIOUS! The shops and shopkeepers were enjoyable to shop. Things are to spread apart to far for walking around for...
Things are to spread apart to far for walking around for such a small town, plus they need a better traffic lighting system there it sucks. They need more cannabis stores as well. A bus that went from Brantford to Paris would be great to, so you wouldn't have to walk all around town as it's a bit of a bummer due to the hills in it a bus would help tremendously. Paris is a beautiful old town with lots of shopping and restaurants. If you are looking to shop, the stores are not open on Mondays. That was abit of a disappointment as I was only there for Monday and Tuesday. The two restaurants we ate at were Stillwaters and Capeesh. Both times we were able to get tables over looking the river. The food was excellent at both places. Had the best ice cream cone from Chocolate Sensations! Stayed at the Carriage House Flat B&B which was within walking distance of downtown.Guest review byChristine

Room boasted shutters and black out curtains arresting any inkling of light from interrupting a sweet deep sleep. The bathroom / room were very super clean. Nicely laundered towels and bedding. Loved loved that the parking was literally attached to the hotel with a short cut back entrance.. Arlington had all the glitz and ritz of those overrated 5 star, just in a different way. Lots of space and very private. Judy was a perfect host/conversationalist. We had a full breakfast in the sunroom of French toast, sausage, 3 fruits, Paris tea, coffee and juice.
