Super kid and family friendly hotel. Everyone was incredibly warm. Seems like their normal clientele is mainly comprised of French Canadians, so almost all conversations initially begin in French, but everyone seamlessly switches to English without any issue once it’s clear you don’t speak French. The pool area, splash pad and playground were fun for all ages because there’s also an adjacent hot tub. The restaurant went out of their way to make the kids feel special. They even had their own soft serve machine and let the kids make their own ice cream sundae after their meal. Given the cold and rainy weather while we were in town, we weren’t cooped up in our hotel room because of all of the kid friendly amenities. There was even a kids play room where our 9yo got her nails painted and the kids could play with sand, blocks, air hockey, etc. Free parking. Festive holiday decorations. We couldn’t take advantage of all of the activities Thursday-Sunday because we had things to do in town, but a family could come to the hotel for a weekend and not have to leave for basically anything. Highly recommend.

We liked Montmorency Falls, Orleans Island, would have liked to have toured the Cathedral but we couldn’t find any place to park at all. Frustrating. It was raining; we couldn’t walk five blocks in that.

We stayed in the city from a Wednesday - Sunday and it was the perfect amount of time to see and do what we had hoped for. The city is stunning, full of quaint European charm and very easy to navigate! The "hop on hop off" bus tour was a great choice for the first day to get a feel for the area, and then plot our things to see and do from there. Chateau Frontenac is even more spectacular in person than I imagined and while it was way out of our price range to stay there, it was lovely to eat a casual lunch in the bistro. Our inn was located in easy proximity to the Plains of Abraham which was so beautiful! We could easily walk and even run in the huge park with incredible views overlooking the city. We also toured the parliament building (for free!) and were very impressed by the building and self-guided tour.

We loved getting around Quebec.

We loved getting around Quebec. It was safe and most people could speak English. We went on a cruise and the uber driver took an hour to get there because traffic was horrible and it should have taken 15 minutes.

The hotel is located in a residential area, at a distance of around 4 km from the old town. The bus stop is nearby. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The reception is closed during the night, but there is a phone number available to call anytime, if needed. For late arrival, there is an envelope at the hotel entrance, with the room key and clear instructions for self check-in. The free WiFi connection is good. The room is spacious and has street view. The bed is large and comfortable. There are free tea and coffee at the hotel entrance area.

I like the concept of this hotel. By European standards the rooms are actually quite large, even without the bed lifted up to the ceiling. We liked the camaraderie of the shared kitchen, every one got along and we were able to prepare some pretty good breakfasts. The location was great, right in the center of the old town, walking distance to the railway station and the Citadel.

THe location of the hotel is suberb right next to the much more expensive chateau frontenac, close to everything in old quebec city palace royal, ferry to levis, petit champlain neighborhood, so close that you can come take rests at your room during the day. The hotel is also very maintained and rooms for families are perfect. Everything modern and working at a very fair price.

Great location for the port and the old town. Everything is an easy walk but you are away from the real crowds. The room was really nice and we booked a kitchenette which was great when we just wanted some easy food. That said, there are plenty of eating choices nearby including at the hotel.
