We arrived before tourist season so many locations and restaurants are closed for the season still. Knowing that was helpful in planning meal/fuel stops. It’s great if you enjoy fewer people than during the height of the tourist season. Everyone was super friendly

Very small community on the northern shore of north peninsula. Quiet & quaint. Perfect for a relaxing stay. Close to the Viking Village, National Historic Site L'Anse Aux Meadows and Burt Cape Ecological Reserve, which is an artic tundra environment. Great to explore especially with a AWD vehicle.

The village is small and great for beach combing or storm watching. It is within 27km of St. Anthony and abort 20km from L'anse aux Meadows. The roads are rough, the potholes are deep enough to damage low riders.

I was on the ground floor and people upstairs just walking about it was quite noisey , but other than that it was excellent. Favourite places - the Viking Digs and a boat tour, saw whales Favourite place to eat The Norseman (you should have a reservation). Raleigh was easy to get around and central to pretty much everything.

The views. Reality of local culture. And the people.

The views. Reality of local culture. And the people. They were the best!! The scenery was stunning and the tundra was surreal. Would have loved to spend more time exploring. We saw caribou fairly close by. Great photographic opportunities.
