We did a tour with JellyBean tours that covered so many of the 'hot spots' in the area that was exceptional. So many sights to see and spots to explore. There is so much to see and explore in beautiful St Johns that we could have spend another few days there easily and enjoyed so much more of what the city has to offer. Can't wait to come back !!

Anyone who has been to Newfoundland knows that it is the people themselves who make the experience a memorable one. Our drive around the entire country, which included St John's, gave us memories to brighten even the darkest hours which may loom in the distance. There is a special humanity in this province which cannot be replicated because it is unique to Newfoundland and its people. How fortunate is any person who has the privilege to spend time with them. This is the souvenir that we carry with us now; faith in the road ahead.

Lots of pubs and restaurants, we had a fabulous dinner at St. John’s Fish Exchange. Walked to Signal Hill and Quidi Vidi, spectacular views. Spent a morning at The Rooms which was an incredible experience. We are both fans of Michael Crummey and The Rooms brought his books to life for us.

St. John's is a favourite for me.

St. John's is a favourite for me. I enjoy shopping along Water St. and sampling the many restaurants in the area. It's fun to walk along George St. and stop in for a drink and some local entertainment at O'Reilly's. There are many tour companies that will shuttle you out of town for whale watching and puffin sanctuary tours. I love hiking the North Head Trail on Signal Hill. The views are spectacular and its a good workout that you can do at your own pace. I usually bring some snacks to sit and enjoy along the way. If you have mobility issues, this is not a hike for you.

Great city, friendly people, lots of restaurants and shops.

Great city, friendly people, lots of restaurants and shops. They close down Water Street in the summer where there are restaurants, cafes and shops and allow it to be a pedestrian walking area. St. John's is a walkable city, but not easy for people with mobility. Lots of hills and steps.

St. John's and the surrounding area is lovely!

St. John's and the surrounding area is lovely! We thoroughly enjoyed several sights during our 4-day girl's trip including, Signal Hill (be sure to say hi and get a pic with Sable the Newfoundlander and his owner), The Rooms, Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is stunning, Dildo (because you must just for a lark), Jelly Bean Row, Puffin & Whale Watch Tour (Gatherall's was great!), new food truck The Pinch Food Wagon (just outside Ferryland) was awesome and Ferryland Lighthouse is an absolute must see (even better if you order a picnic in advance). And there's soooo much more to do and see! Would go back in a heartbeat.

I take many trips to St. Johns and normally stay right downtown. This time, I decided to stay here. The pictures they have online don't do this place justice. Ok.. the coffee.. dear lord. WOW The room... amaze balls The tub is totally showing off. Biggest home tub I have ever been in. Staff... over the top awesome. Talk, laugh, within an hour I thought I was surrounded by friends in my own home. This will be my regular place to stay moving forward. Great people, great place, great breakfast.

We booked this hotel because we had an early flight out of St. John's. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the room (it was the largest room we stayed at during our 2 weeks in Newfoundland). We were also pleased with the proximity of the hotel to the airport, and the fact that it is still about a 12 minute drive from downtown St. John's.

Location is amazing. Loved the historical building. The room, although smaller than some hotels rooms, was perfect. Cozy, very clean, extremely comfortable with super extra touches like a heated towel bar and "woodstove". Will definitely stay there should I return to St. John's. Highly recommended.

Included breakfast in the cafe was good. We had other food from the cafe in our room and it also was good. Bed was the most comfortable of our 16 day stay in Newfoundland. What make and model matress do you use? We would like to purchase the same for our home.
