    We really enjoyed waking along the old canal trail ,= a minute from the hotel , also sitting in one of the chairs provided, at water's edge watching the Niagara Rowing Club go by., so relaxing. Short 12 min drive to Lock eight in Port Colborne. Supermarkets and eateries are within easy reach.around Welland Great new shopping mall along Niagara Road, . Welland is a good place to stay for places to visit , as in Niagara Falls but a 25 min drive.

    Rooms were great, clean and with no smell. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a disappointment, barely at the level one could expect from a three-star hotel. There seemed to be no real kitchen, everything was either packaged or apparently microwaved. They had only single-use plates and utensils. Coffee was so weak it didn’t even smell like coffee, let alone taste like it.

    It had a kitchen, although no kitchen utensils/plates etc so not as useful as you think. There was lots of room and having the extra area to sit outside the bedrooms was good. Close to Welland canal for our event.
