A little family run hotel conveniently situated halfway through my journey to Italy. The hotel is a couple of km from the A2 highway, very easily reachable. Also, is very close to the North Gotthard tunnel entrance allowing one to reach the tunnel early to avoid the usual traffic jam. The room was simply furnished, the bathroom well equipped and everything very, very clean. The buffet breakfast was fine with the usual staples of cheese, cold cuts, bread etc. Parking was available next to the hotel and free. Even though it was situated close to the highway (visible from the room window) it was exceptionally quiet. The hotel has also a restaurant serving local dishes but I didn't eat there.

    A great hotel located near Altdorf, ideally located for exploring the high alpine passes south of here. I've stayed here twice before so was happy to return and use the facilities again.
